Welcome!

Welcome to my space in cyberspace.  Here, I have collated my views, philosophies and writing on various topics that have tickled my interest and got me thinking.  I invite you to browse through the pages and links here.

If you read something that interests you, please leave a comment.  Tell me what you like, and what you don’t; what you agree and disagree with. You may see a consonance with your own perspectives, albeit with differing nuances.  Or you might see things very differently and disagree with me totally.  Perhaps you can convince me to change my views and edit what I have posted here, or maybe post another entry in this blog.  Either way, I would love to hear from you.  We will all benefit from the discussions and analysis that will follow, and the appreciation of the vast diversity and yet striking similarity that characterizes humanity and everything around us.

If you want to follow updates on this blog, please enter your email in the field under Email Subsriptions or in the window that will open when you click the ‘Follow’ buton in the bottom right-hand corner.  You will be automatically intimated when  there is a new post on this blog. I am not a very active blogger as you can see from my archives so you need not worry about too many messages.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy your time here, and that you come back another day for more….

India in America

I have just posted a response to an article in TIME Magazine on July 02, 2010 by Joel Stein titled, ’My Own Private India’ in which he talks about how his hometown in Edison, New Jersey, was transformed when Indian Immigrants moved in.  The article was meant to be satire, but it irked a lot of Indian immigrants who considered it racial.  TIME and the author immediately reverted with an apology of sorts. You can find my response under the tab Perspectives or click here.

New Template

I have:

  1. Changed the template to provide drop-down menus for easier navigation and a more organized look.
  2. Segregated articles on Values under a different tab so that they are not lost amongst the more serious articles on Philosophy.
  3. Created sub-pages on articles that I hope to write on.  These are marked with an asterisk and are currently blank, but they should give you an idea of what to expect and hopefully encourage you to subscribe to this blog so that you are automatically intimated as when I publish them.

I hope you like the changes.
